Harvard Fined $24,000 For Animal Violations After Monkeys Die

INCOMPETENCE: Harvard, a TAXPAYER-FUNDED animal experimentation laboratory, was just fined $24K for repeatedly violating the Animal Welfare Act. In one instance, a monkey dehydrated to death from water deprivation. Another was strangled by a chain in her own cage.

MONEY QUOTE: "For an institution that receives $185 million annually in TAXPAYER funds alone, half of which is used for experiments on animals, a $24,000 fine for years of abusing and neglecting monkeys won't motivate Harvard to do better." LEARN MORE: http://bit.ly/1gJ3h0P
