No one can save every animal, but everyone can save one. Please be that person.I am one of the coolest most caring crazy cat ladys you will ever meet. I love all animals though great & small. I have a crazy cat man too but he really doesn't like calling himself that he prefers kitty poppa. I hope you enjoy my blog. Its my first one ever. I will be blogging about many things that matter as well as kitty cats and other animals. I consider myself to be an animal rights welfare activist.

Sweet, beautiful Nezra is having a rough go of things right now
Sweet, beautiful Nezra is having a rough go of things right now. Her life has been full of ups and downs. She found herself a heartbroken prisoner in a cold, lonely cell at the dog pound where even being able to hear the other dogs didn't make her any less lonely, but was taken in to foster by a wonderful lady hoping to help save her life. This wonderful lady, who has been a huge help to many Altus fur-babies, became her new foster mama. Her foster mama (how normally chooses to cover vetting of her foster), wanting to do the right thing, took Nezra to the vet to have her spayed. Unfortunately, what should have been a routine surgery hit a snag when complications arose from Nezra having two tick borne illnesses that changed the way her blood clotted and kept her from healing properly. Like any good pet parent, Nezra's foster mama wants to give Nezra every chance to win this battle and Nezra seems determined to pull through. It was very touch and go for awhile, and she's still not out of the woods by any means, but she's a fighter. One look into those big, beautiful eyes of hers and you can see she isn't ready to give up. She's found a place to go at last and she wants to stick around to go to it! That's the good news. The bad news is, while she seems to be getting better, the bills are mounting up. Anyone who has ever had to pay for life-saving emergency care for their pet knows how quickly it can reach the point where you start to worry if you can afford to pay for the care they need to survive or if it's time to consider the unthinkable. No pet parent or foster should ever have to make a choice like that. Money should never be the deciding factor when looking into the hopeful eyes of a beloved pet who is fighting so hard to stay strong for you, all the while trusting you will take care of them. They don't understand all the needles, bandages and weird smells at the vet, but they know that YOU are there and that you wouldn't put them in harm's way. Nezra has remained loving and trusting through it all and we want to help her foster mama afford the care she needs. If you can spare even a dollar or two, it is very much appreciated not only by us, but by Nezra and her foster mama!
As of Saturday the total for Nezra was over $1,200 and expected to be closer to $2,000. We will update with scans of the invoices and the actual total when we get them.
