Meet Courage, Courage is one of the worst abuse cases we have ever taken in. His escape from the kill shelter, was just the beginning of his battles.  He is 25lbs, (should be double) can barely walk, and according to shelter partner vet has possible brain damage, shortened long bones, enlarged joints, kyphosis, scoliosis, and blackened teeth. All from Being SEVERELY malnourished! He was most likely just fed enough to barily survive, and kept in a confined space or very small crate hes entire life. He is also probably deaf. He was beaten, but once he realizes your hand is not to hit him, he just wants to cuddle in your lap. We realize he will never have a "normal" life, but we would really like to get a chance to save him and show him what love is! We CANNOT save him if we don't have funds.  As we rely 100% on donations, and get no public funding. We had an amazing foster step up, that reallizes this may be the most heartbreaking case she has had to endure,
We would love to save him in honor of "Puppy Doe" We do not want money to be a factor in his quality of care, and we want to give him just as much chance to survive as a human would. He is being stabilized right now by our shelter partners vet and (hopefully) if he is strong enough this weekend, he will get to rest in the comforts of his foster for a couple days. He then, next week will have one of the best vets we know managing his care with some of the top specialists in the North East.
If you would like to Donate directly to the vet please do so
